ASGER RISBORG JAKOBSEN
I owe my passion of light to an old piece of iridescent foil. The microscopically structured surface of the foil was fine enough to interfere with the visible light that was reflected and reached my eyes. I experienced all the colors of the world in this phenomena. They appeared in front of me.
It was a sensation of something ancient, something that had always been there. Something that did not need an explanation nor confirmation. Yet the foil was engineered and produced in my childhood only 20 years ago.
As I travel back in time in the memory of the foil, the light reflected from the foil also travelled in time to reach my eyes. Everything we see has already happened, these letters reaching our eyes, our minds trying to understand this text. But how we will move in the world tomorrow is up to us. I hope we will use this opportunity to create beautiful things.
